ABOUT ABOUT

Dreaming & Doing Workshop — January 2024

If you find yourself wishing you were making more progress towards the things that you care about, or need help with clarifying vision for your life/creative pursuits/what have you, this is a workshop series sharing some tools that have helped me accomplish things I care about for the last several years.

=======================================================

Three* online meetings:
Jan 14 = session 1 is dreaming/cultivating/stimulating a hopeful vision for your life
Jan 21 = session 2 is turning those dreams into actions you can do something about
Feb 4 = session 3 is about sustainability of getting from where you are to where you wanna be.

*a 4th session for one-on-one processing through the exercises is available as an optional add-on.

=======================================================

Here's some feedback I've gotten over the past couple years from this workshop series (no, I didn't write these):

> During Zach's Dreaming + Goal-Making Mentorship, I kept thinking, "Wow, I'm going to be using these helpful tidbits for the rest of my life!" One of the things that surprised me was when we had our one-on-one call and as I was sharing my dreams and goals, Zach kept pulling more out of me, making me think a little deeper. His extra thoughts and really good questions even shifted the dreams a little. I guess the surprise, which shouldn't have been a surprise, was the glaring reminder that life is better when you bravely share your sacred pieces with others instead of keeping them to yourselves. Even my own dreams for my own life will end up being better when I say them out loud to someone else and get input that's not my own. 10/10 would recommend this class and wouldn't might taking it again myself sometime!

> Through the thoughts that you shared about the nature of dreaming and it’s role in life/faith, I felt as though I was given permission and an invitation to dream about big and small things for my life. In the one on one session, it was a comfort to hear that fear is a part of dreaming and goal-making. Also, I learned ways to organize goal making to be both challenging and manageable. Overall, I feel as though this experience has encouraged and prepared me to dream like a child and pursue those dreams with maturity and purpose.

> I really feel like this was such a good workshop? To be a part of! Very encouraging, very realistic, positive and centered. I actually shared with friends and they were super keen on listening and felt they could get some much out of it. Part of me think you could even make it like 2 sessions longer! 3 group sessions felt so quick. But at the same time each theme felt like the right amount of time.

> There was a lot of great advice on how to make dreams tangible and get them out of our heads and into a form where they can be dealt with. One of the things that helped me piece together all that you were saying was seeing examples from you own life, because I could look at your list of goals or daily schedule and relate to it when I was making mine. I also feel like the one on one was really edifying. I think mentorship can be done in a kind of group setting but having someone with more experience and skill guide and direct you personally is huge. Its kind of like your transferring some of the energy and momentum that you’ve build up for achieving your goals directly onto us.

> These sessions were so helpful for me and my life/creative journey. As someone who can often feel disconnected from my dreams and desires, choosing to intentionally stir up hope and step into dreaming was a much needed challenge. Finding ways to practically think about and structure these dreams was equally helpful, as it gave me a more grounded vision of the path forward and kept the pursuit of my priorities from becoming overwhelming and ambiguous. Getting to hear from Zach's personal experience in the realm of dreaming and goal-making was super helpful, as was getting to hear unique perspectives and reflections from the rest of the class. I would absolutely recommend Zach's sessions to anyone looking for a more hopeful and intentional to think about and pursue their dreams and priorities in life (so, like pretty much anyone and everyone).

> Taking part in the dreaming and goal making sessions was such a huge blessing to me in this season. In the craziness and business of raising a young family, I had forgotten or pushed aside many of the dreams and desires in my heart, and had concluded that the dreaming season was over for me. Zach’s encouragement and insights really helped me open up to those possibilities again. I especially enjoyed the one on one session. Zach really listens and cares about what you share, and offers both practical tools and heartfelt encouragement to help you take steps towards these dreams being realised. All this interlaced with humorous stories and funny accents, you’re sure to have a wonderful time! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who feels stuck or discouraged when it comes to dreaming or goal making.

> I absolutely loved my one-on-one with Zach. It’s one thing to go through the material he gives all on your own, but it becomes real when he teaches you through it. He showed me areas where I wasn’t approaching it right and really helped me sharpen up my dreams and goals.—Getting to the very core of them. He asked me insightful, purposeful questions. I feel well equipped to make measurable progress toward my dreams. Zach is straightforward, honest, and kind as a mentor. —And absolutely generous. He lets you in on his systems of dreaming, goal making, and everyday tools to follow through with them, and doesn’t hold back in sharing. I think my favorite week with him was week four when he shared, in a kind of rapid-fire way, his small daily habits and rhythms that yield productivity and focus. It was amazing. His methods of day-to-day are quite evidently developed over much time and experience (as proof, just look at his creative work thus far and the things he’s accomplished). I have adopted MANY of his everyday systems of productivity. It’s a model. And one that’s already proven incredibly valuable in my life. My recommendation couldn’t be higher or more sincere.

> I really loved this class. Zach helped me tackle the ideas of goals and productivity in a very doable and non- intimidating way. The one on one phone session was very encouraging to be able to bounce ideas off of Zach and be validated with the direction of my goals. I feel like this class gave me the push I needed (as well as a spring in my step) to pursue what I have been wanting to do. So thank you Zach!

> This was helpful for me in terms of becoming aware or different dreams and writing my goals in SMARTER format was a really great practice!
